Our company specializes in publishing books for both a specific target market and the general public, with a particular focus on school textbooks. To better serve our users, we prioritize the empowerment of local authors and the development of supplementary reading materials. Through these efforts, we have successfully written and published multiple titles, several of which have been adopted as secondary and high school level textbooks in Eswatini.

Who we are

Educational publishing, rooted in Eswatini

Imisebe Publishing is a wholly EmaSwati-owned educational publishing house, established in 2009 and based in Manzini. For over seventeen years we have developed, authored, designed, printed and distributed teaching and learning materials adopted at primary, secondary and high school level across the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Since 2012, Imisebe titles have been continuously prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training — from the 2012 English literature set-works through to Litsafa, prescribed for 2026.

The meaning of our name

Imisebe Yelilanga literally means “the rays of the sun.” The sun, as a symbol of light and illumination, expresses our mandate: to enlighten the nation through the written word — and in doing so, to illuminate the future of our children.

  • New-curriculum materials in active development with specialist consultants
  • 40+ foundational-phase readers and 30+ classroom charts already in print
  • Junior Secondary CBE projects under way across seven subjects

Corporate social responsibility

Connecting to Build a Reading Nation

Through literacy initiatives, author development workshops and reading-culture campaigns, Imisebe works with schools and partners across Eswatini to promote a sustainable culture of reading — because a reading nation is a learning nation.
