Imisebe Publishing recently participated in a global celebration of reading aloud, by visiting the Manzini Practising School to share the joy of books with the students. This event was an excellent opportunity for us to promote literacy, language development, and a love of reading among young learners.
Reading aloud is a powerful way to engage with children and help them develop vital skills such as critical thinking, vocabulary, and imagination. By reading to them, we not only help children improve their literacy skills, but we also promote a love of reading that will stay with them throughout their lives.
At the Manzini Practising School, the children read stories and were enthralled by the colorful illustrations and engaging narratives. It was heartwarming to see the excitement on their faces as they learned about new characters, places, and ideas.
As a publishing company, we believe that reading is essential for personal growth and development. We are committed to working with communities, schools, and other organizations to promote literacy and make books accessible to all. The power of reading aloud cannot be overstated, and we were delighted to be a part of this celebration.
In conclusion, we had a fantastic time at the Manzini Practising School and hope to continue working with them to promote reading and literacy in the future. We encourage everyone to join us in this mission, whether by reading to your own children, donating books, or volunteering in your local community. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of young learners and help them build a brighter future.

On Tuesday February 21st 2014, Imisebe Publishing launched the first ever siSwati monolingual dictionary, titled Umphandza, Sichazama sesiSwati, in a high-level ceremony officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Themba Masuku, at Sibane Sami Hotel.
The event was timed to perfection as it coincided with the International Mother Language Day, celebrated around the world every February 21st. The International Mother Language (tongue) Day promotes linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
Imisebe Publishing Managing Director Hlobsile Stromvig highlighted the importance of launching the siSwati dictionary on the occasion of the celebration of the International Mother Language Day, though due to logistical challenges, the launch happened over a week later.
