Imisebe Publishing proudly partnered with and sponsored the Manzini West Cluster English Tournament 2026, held at Swazi National High School. The event brought together learners from nine schools within the cluster, including Swazi National High School, Zombodze High School, Mhlahlo High School, Esibuyeni High School, Boyane High School, Mankayane High School, Mbekelweni High School, and Sigombeni High School.

The tournament was organised to promote English language proficiency, critical thinking, confidence, and effective communication among learners. Participants competed in three exciting categories: Public Speaking, Debate, and the Spelling Bee, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and mastery of the English language.

As the event’s main partner, Imisebe Publishing donated trophies and medals, which were presented to the winning schools and outstanding participants in recognition of their hard work and achievements. This partnership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and promoting academic excellence among learners across Eswatini.

The overall results reflected the consistent performance of Swazi National High School across all competition categories, enabling the host school to emerge as the overall champion of the tournament. Sigombeni High School delivered an impressive performance, particularly in the Debate category, while Mbekelweni High School demonstrated remarkable consistency throughout the competition to secure third place overall.

Speaking on behalf of Imisebe Publishing, Tony Mabaso expressed the company’s appreciation to the Manzini West Cluster English Committee for successfully organising such an educational and inspiring event. He noted that competitions of this nature play a vital role in helping learners improve their English language skills, build self-confidence, and develop public speaking abilities that are essential for their future academic and professional success.

Mr Mabaso encouraged learners to cultivate a habit of reading and speaking English regularly, emphasising that consistent practice significantly improves language proficiency. He further highlighted Imisebe Publishing’s commitment to promoting a culture of reading, noting that the company provides a wide range of English language books and educational resources designed to support learners throughout their academic journey.

Also addressing the gathering was Senior English Inspector Eric Dlamini, who commended Swazi National High School for hosting the tournament and creating a platform for learners to showcase their talents. He stated that such competitions provide valuable opportunities for learners to strengthen their communication, analytical thinking, and language skills.

Mr Dlamini encouraged learners to develop a love for reading and to engage actively with the English language both inside and outside the classroom. He explained that reading widely enhances vocabulary, improves comprehension, and contributes to better overall academic performance.
