Imisebe Celebrates Literary Talent Through Sponsorship of National Arts and Culture Awards 2024

In a continued effort to honor and celebrate siSwati literature, Imisebe is proud to sponsor two pivotal categories in the upcoming National Arts and Culture Awards (NACA) 2024: Imisebe Outstanding Newcomer SiSwati Short Story Writer and Imisebe Outstanding SiSwati Poet. These categories spotlight creativity and excellence in siSwati writing, a reflection of the profound impact of literature in Eswatini’s cultural fabric.

Imisebe Outstanding Newcomer SiSwati Short Story Writer

Imisebe has been at the forefront of nurturing fresh literary talent, particularly through its short story anthologies, Umtsentse and Litsafa, published between 2022 and 2024. These anthologies showcase the work of first-time writers, many of whom are making their debut in the literary scene. The Arts and Culture Awards provide a perfect platform to introduce these promising writers to a wider audience.

This bestseller has been a staple in high school syllabi since 2016, igniting a love for poetry among the youth. The contributors to this anthology are a distinguished group of poets and educators whose work embodies the richness of siSwati language and culture.
