Imisebe Publishing | Booksellers' Breakfast Catch-Up 2023

In a spirit of gratitude and collaboration, Imisebe Publishing hosted its annual Booksellers’ Breakfast Catch-Up in 2023, a cherished tradition aimed at expressing appreciation and addressing challenges faced by booksellers in their crucial role of facilitating quality education in Eswatini.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from our Managing Director, Hlob’sile Stromvig. She expressed gratitude and underscored the significance of the gathering, emphasizing Imisebe’s deep appreciation for the unwavering support and invaluable feedback from the booksellers throughout the year.

A remarkable turnout saw almost all booksellers in attendance, creating an interactive platform where they could voice their questions and share the challenges encountered in the ordering process. The Imisebe team, responsive to the needs of their partners, actively engaged in addressing these challenges and offering effective solutions.

The breakfast catch-up served as a platform for unveiling new publications, including “Lifa,” “Umtsentse,” and the eagerly awaited “Umphandza” (siSwati Dictionary for Primary Schools). Booksellers were provided with insights into these offerings, including their prices, enhancing their ability to cater to the diverse educational needs in Eswatini.

As a token of appreciation and a symbolic gesture to mark the culmination of the year 2023, Imisebe presented tokens of gratitude to the attending booksellers. Encouraging a continued and robust relationship, the team expressed their commitment to providing high-quality learning materials to further elevate education in Eswatini.

Recognizing the demanding nature of their work, Imisebe took a holistic approach to the well-being of their partners. The breakfast catch-up featured a motivational session by Mr. Nelton Mondlane, the visionary behind the organization known as Mind, Food, and Soul. Mr. Mondlane shared insights on maintaining physical, spiritual, and mental health—a refreshing reminder for all attendees to stay motivated and rejuvenated amid their busy schedules.

In essence, the Booksellers’ Breakfast Catch-Up wasn’t just a business meeting; it was a celebration of partnership, a forum for collaboration, and an opportunity to collectively contribute to the enhancement of education in Eswatini. As Imisebe Publishing continues to evolve, these annual gatherings remain pivotal in fortifying relationships and fostering a shared commitment to quality education.
